hey i have a 73 satellite with a 8 1/4 rear end and the spider gears broke and chewed up the ring and pinion, needless to say im looking for a replacement rear end rather than rebuilding the old one with a posi unit. any help or advice is appreciated since this is my first mopar and am learning about these rears by reading these forums. I have been checking craigslist relentlessly but i havent found much im currently working in the north bay area around santa rosa but the car is in Chico Ca

 

You could also look for a B body 8 3/4 . In a pinch you could use an F body 8 1/4
about a 3/8-1/2" difference in spring perch width or use one for parts. I used a B body 8 3/4 in an F body so it should fit the other way too..
