8 1/4 rear upgrade to sure grip

Good morning everyone
Have a question \ I have a 8 1/4 open rear in a 72 B body wanted to upgrade to a sure grip - Found a sure gripi unit-
Is it as easy as installing the sure grip chunk?
The ratio I have 2.71 and wanted to stay for this

It's not difficult. Get the repair manual.. Just quick description.. Check the ring gear back lash before removing it... Remove the axles retaining clips and the axels, You need to remove the ring gear carrier, remove the gear and reinstall the gear on your new sure grip. (use new bolts if available) Re install and set up the preload & gear back lash -- left hand thread & a dab of locktite...
