8 3/4 becoming LSD

Hi Guys,

In my Newport is currently the stock 2.76 gears with the NON-sure grip.

I just aquired a set of 3.23 gears and have on order an Auburn LSD.

I am wondering if anyone has a steb by step on how to do the swap as i cant seem to find a thread on it at all.

Also if I so choose down the road would i be able to leave the LSD in there and go back to the 2.76 gears?

Thanks

Gary

It all depends on what the carrier break is for the 8 3/4 rear axle (being that numerically low, I doubt you'd have any issues going back to 2.76 if you wanted).

As for a step by step, I would this after doing a quick search on Google:

I'm not sure how good it is as I've never regeared an axle with a third member like the 8 3/4. I do know that its easier as you don't need the whole axle.

Did you get just the gears or the complete pumpkin ?? It's an easy swap if you got the complete pumpkin.
