is there a trick to reinstalling the rear axles in a 8 3/4 rear or just slide in and bolt them down ?

 

The axles just slide back in. They may take some convincing to get them to slide all the way in.

But, if there are no issues or hang ups, they should just slide right in.

Also, i hope you didnt take the brake system apart!
