A518 and lockup converter
Hi!
I have the follow doubt, if somebody can resolve it, I'll be very grateful:
If I'm right the A518 46RH/RE is a non-lockup transmission but what happens if somebody install a lockup torque converter on it? will work or just will broke the transmission?
What will happen if the guy that has installed the lockup torque converter enable the lockup at WOT or going down a hill (maybe will get better engine brake?)?
I ask this because in some forums I've read that the lockup reduces the lifetime of the transmission but is very helpful on performance, mpg and keep the transmission cool

I'm a little confused. If all the A518s are lockup why the transmission OD switch connector sometimes only has de hot wire for the OD unit and in other transmissions has a Hot plug for the lockup?
