hey guys i have a 91 or 92 a518 tranny out of a dodge ram in my 85 d350 and it is non lock up i have it all hooked and overdrive works great but i have a built 360 and i was thinking i need a 2000 or 2200 stall but i didnt want to kill the rpm in my overdrive would that effect the overdrive at all

 

Overdrive should be fine with a 2K stall converter.Some of the 318/360 motors came with a 2k -2.2k stall from the factory

 

im using a lock up in my mod it s like having a 5 speed when u lock up from 2000 to 0 like letting the clutch out

ok thanks so with out the lock up it wont act funny or slip in od with the stall

 

no it will just cruse at 2000 rpms
