clutch pedal stick
I have a 72 plymouth duster with a mopar 360 magnum crate engine. I am having issues with a clutch pedal sticking to the floor.
It only sticks occasionally. but it has plenty of resistance until your are just about to the end it gets really light and occasionally wil stick right right to the floor then I'll tap it with my foot on the side and it will snap right up. when it doesn't stick on the way up it is super light in the beginning then just as it would start to grab, it puts lots of pressure on my foot. It has a new clutch.
Please tell me what's wrong and how to fix it.

Welcome.
Without knowing all the details of your set up, it sounds like it is going over center (too far).
To disengage the disc the pressure plate needs to move enough to get a .060" feeler gauge between disc and flywheel, any more is wasted motion and then can go too far.

Shootin from the hip here, but isn't there an over center spring designed to help hold the pedal down, and when switching to a diaphragm style pressure plate it should be removed? I believe it's under the dash, take a peek. Otherwise Coronet500 is correct and the pedal can be "blocked" to prevent it from over traveling.
