Disconnecting shift linkage

I have 76 dart with column shift and a 904 tranny

I have everything disconnected to drop the tranny EXCEPT the damn shift linkage. I can't figure out how to disconnect it doesn't tell me how to do it in the Haynes it just says how to loosen it up and there's no bolts to take off

The link down at the trans should have a sliding adjustment with a set screw bolt, and the end right at the trans lever should have either a spring clip or a cotter key

I don't recall, seems like the upper end at the column has a rather weird sort of "snap in" plastic ring. "The I junked" I was not that concerned with saving that stuff

I'll look for that spring clip. All I saw were those weird snap in bushings that I didn't want to break in fear I'd never be able to find new ones lol.

Just loosen the pinch bolts at the trans on the shift linkage pry up with a screwdriver & disconnect the cross bar bracket from the trans
