Cool Is there a 4spd AUTO option to replace a 727?

Just wondering I have seen some for 2wd but what about a 4x4 big block overdrive 4spd auto option?
Is anyone doing this?
Sure would keep those RPMs down and get me up to 7-8mpg!

Thanks for any input. PG

PG -

First, I know NOTHING about 4x4's.

Gear Vendors does a really nice OD unit for the 727.
Might be worth a call.

You can use an adapter plate to bolt a a518 small block trans to a big block. The a518 4x4 trans only bolt to a NP241 without an adapter/clocking ring. A gear vendors OD unit will have to go behind the t-case on a 4x4.
