72 Demon Brake Light Switch

I just brought my new Demon home yesterday and one of the first things I noticed is that the brake lights stay lit constantly. What I discovered is that the brake light switch is not aligned with the brake pedal, it misses it by 1/4-1/2 an inch. Does anyone know if the bracket that holds the switch is adjustable or had it somehow gotten bent out of alignment?

I'll post a picture of the situation tonight after work to better show what i am talking about.

Sometimes alignment, some adjustment. Easy fix. If the switch DOES turn out to be bad...it is readily available at NAPA.

The bracket was the problem, it somehow got bent out of alignment. I was able to use a hammer and a metal rod to straighten it out and push it back to its correct alignment. Thanks for the advice.
