'74 Satellite Suspension upgrades *Need Help
Hey guys,
Looking to get my suspension up to par with the rest of my car...I need everything new and everything but my rear end (9.25) is stock. I'd like to have more of a road racer feel, everything is really sloppy now. Was looking at this "Super" front end rebuild kit (polyurethane/graphite) from PST, any word on quality or a better brand? Also going to be replacing shocks, was going to go with the ranchos or whatever they are called now...Caltracs or lakewood trailing arms? Rear hoop and sub frame connectors? Need suggestions on rear leafs and really anything else that would help.
Thanks

Would a quadra shock set up benifit me from firm feel? I would want to use that with caltracs, plus a firm feel front end kit, tube upper arms, aluminum body & crossmember mounts, front & rear sway bars and either HD/Race or Race torsion bars and oval track leaf spring set. Anything else I would be missing? Everything but he Clatrcas would be from firm feel...

Subframe connectors I here are hard to find for these cars, here is something improvised: http://www.uscartool.com/img/71RR/index.html
If you change your gear or differential, look at a solid pinion spacer to replace the crush sleeve, as it can be a bit of a weak link.

ANYTHING would be an up-grade from what you have now! Start with The PST kit. One-size up on front and rear sway-bars will make a huge difference too! Do you have front and rear sway-bars? A 15" or larger tire makes a huge difference too. The old cars rode on balloons. Try a larger rim, and a reduced sidewall profile. Do you have a pinion snubber? Lets get the PST kit and get the front-end straight first. Then we can work from there. For handling, you can go 1 size up from the factory recommended for your car and engine for the sway bar.
