Hey All.

I am having a heck of a time finding some 10 inch x 1 3/4 inch drums for a 1965 Barracuda. I've tried about 15 places here in GA, a few in AL, and am stuck...looking for help.

Any advice or points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I saw a listing for 10 X 2 are you sure of the size ?

 

I'm 99% sure. I took the pads off and matched them that way for the new pads. I had the old ones turned but they were too thin to use. The surface area that was turned is a hair under two inches when measured, but the pads that came off are 1 3/4".

If it makes any difference, it is a late series '65 when they started beefing things up and went from 9" to 10". It has that "S" on the front fenders.

A 10"x2" drum may fit? Have you tried one ? shoes are generally slightly shorter in width than the drum. Usually the drum has the size cast into it..

Are you sure it is not a 9" drum I had a 65 back in the early 70's non S As I remember it had crappy 9" drums

 

I have not tried the 10x2 yet. I had a place pull a 10x2.5 and it was no where near. I'll try that though.

It's just finding them that's proving to be a challenge.

 

I would go and get a complete set up from a later A body with the 9X2" setup if you still have the 4" bolt pattern. Make life easier..

 

auto zone shows a set for a 66 that is 10X1.81" part number is 151
