differential

differential

Sounds kinda silly but how do I tell if my 8 3/4 rear end with 323 gears is posi or open? Any help would be appreciated

mr -

Get the car up on a lift, put it in neutral and manually turn one of the rear wheels. A posi will cause the other wheel to turn in the same direction and a std diff will cause the other wheel to turn in the opposite direction.

Or just do a long burn out, a posi will leave two tire marks and a non-posi will only leave one. Just don't tell any one I told you to do that ...

Burn out

A lot of fun, but not exactly true... I have a LTD slp rearend and with the right amount of weight tranference I can breakem both free!
Have the markes to prove it.
