Just replaced the R&P on a 2006 town and country. I cant get the intermediate shaft mounted onto the gear on the rack and pinion. Looks simple but I cant get it. Im trying to line up for the roller pin but I cant get the two pieces to mate. Anyone know how to get this done?

 

Do you have the 2 flat parts matted? Also make sure the Dowl pin is pulled out far enough.

 

pin is all the way out. I think the two flat spots are lined up but its just eyeballing.
