Raising rear ride height + pinion angle questions......
I'm currently running stock leafs with 29" rubber and I plan on stepping up to 30" MT DR's

To adjust pinion angle, I used 6* shims, but with a full tank, passengers and a trunk full of junk, the rear tends to sag.
I'd like to raise the rear about 1"
If I were to get lower front mounts to raise the rear height, would I be able to ditch the angle shims altogether?

one time 1968 i was in tulsa world points finals. i was talking to Ronnie Sox and i ask him what the right higth for the car was. he said that the rocker panel should be 2-3 inches lower in the front, this lets the front lift up on launch. moving weight to the rear.
Not too concerned with how she launches.
If I was, I would've kept the SS springs instead of going with OEM's
Trying to keep her as close to stock height as possible without rubbing
Currently running worn 29 x 12.5 x 15 without issue, but will be stepping up to 30 x 12.5 x 15 DR's, which I think may rub given the flatter contact patch
Saw this question posted before, somewhere....
Anyhow...How is your tire clearance? My 70 Charger used to have tire rub on the outer wheelhouse when I had the SS spring hangers in place. The 68-70 Charger outer wheelhouses have the stupidest design flaw : Instead of the tub simply going straight up alongside the quarter panel, they go up a few inches, then turn horizontal for a few inches, then go up again. This results in an unnecessary bulge into the wheelwell. I run a 295-45-18 tire and The tires used to touch that bulge on bumps with a full tank of gas.

Clearance is good with my current tires (29 x 12.5 x 15 MT Sportsman Pros), however, they're rather rounded tires that kinda fit the wheel housings like a glove.
I plan on stepping up to 295/65/15 MT ET Streets (30 x 12.5 x 15), which have a skinnier section with, but a flatter contact patch (kinda like putting a square peg in a round hole)
They may or may not rub, but just in case they do, I'd like a back up plan on getting them to fit.

Yeah, like I wrote on that other forum...When I swapped from the SS hangers back to the stock ones, The car went up an inch and the rear end came forward some. The increase in height did help with the rub but I think that moving the axle back to its original "wheelbase" made the biggest change.
