The battery in my truck keeps draining. I have replaced the voltage regulator and had the charging system checked multiple times. I have also replaced the plugs wires core distributor cap and rotor button. When I turn the heater on it drains the battery within about 20 minutes. I have checked all the wires and grounds and I don't see A short anywhere. None of the fuses are blowing however the battery keeps draining any thoughts

Pull the ground wire off the battery...... Put a test light between the battery post and the ground cable... The light will light up if there is a draw... Now Go pull fuses till the light goes out.... If that does not work you will have to fish for the short till the light goes out and then you will have found the shorted circuit needing fixing....

Now Go Fish....

Now I'm being told that when I hit the brakes my right tail light goes out. I replaced the light socket could that cause the battery to drain

No...That just means you wired it wrong or you have a bad ground.....
Now if there stuck on...That will drain it....

Go Fish !!!!!

might not be charging as opposed to a drain

buy yourself a multimeter. no reason not to have one. with engine running and warm at a fast idle measure battery voltage

anything below 13 means not charging. should be (warm) around 14V

if this and above does not show anything charge battery fully and take someplace and have battery tested.
