318 no spark to plugs

318 no spark to plugs

So my 318 was running I had the dash out so I had to touch the red and black wires together that go to the alternator Gage they got hot and arched and the engine died and no spark I got a new coil and coil condenser which iam not sure I need because it doesn't have points anyhow the coil was not the issue now I think I need a new destributer maybe I shorted out something in there help please

Test the + side of the coil and see if you have power with key on.

I would be checking the bulkhead (firewall) connection.

The + on the cool is good I have spark to the center of the destributer but it's not distributing the spark
