After Market Gauge Install 63, 64, 65

Hello all,
I will try to be as Technical as possible.
I have Two questions.
First I have a 1963 Dodge Dart: 1964 Plymouth Valiant: 1965 Dodge Dart.
All three should be the same answer.
I'm Wanting to Replace Factory gauges and Build my own Dash to Put the 7000 Equus gauges in them.
My 2 questions are as fallows.

1: Going from the Factory ALT Gauge to the New Alt Gauge I've seen the ALT gauge Delete Info to death. Can I Tie The Red Wire and Black wire On One Side of the New Gauge Positive and Ground to Ground? Please See Included Simple Diagrams.

Would I Need to add a 20, 30, 40, ECT Amp breaker for Load? Example Tie Red to one side of breaker and Black to other side of Breaker and the black side to Positive of New Gauge?

2: Does any one Know the Size of the Factory Speedometer Gauge Threads? New Gauge is 5/8 by 18 Thread size 0.104 Female Drive Cable. If I need an Adapter for the New Speedometer where would I look for one?

Thank you for any Help
