So this is kind of an off shoot of my previous rewire post.

I have a wiring diagram for my 1968 newport that shows the color of all the factory wiring through the vehicle. What i need to know though is what each wire actually is. Ie: power, ground, ignition,

If anyone has a wiring diagram like this or knows where to get it that would be awesome.

i can't give you list of all wire colors and what they do. you wanna pay me my consultation fees? well alrighty then

but if you want to ask about say, ignition switch, we can look that up. easy several wires from memory (this might not be right) at the ignition switch:

big red is main power coming in. always hot all the time

big black is acc power going out. hot in run, hot in acc

blue/ white tracer ignition. hot only in run. not hot in start

brown coil bypass. hot only in start

yellow. start wire to start relay. hot only in start
