Question very confused on my turning signals

Hi hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. In my 73 duster the turning signals will only work if I have my headlights off and even then the back left will not work. also the on the front right running light it will only flash for the turning signal when the headlights are off but if the signal is not on then it will not turn on (I am thinking it is just a two way bulb and its just burnt out). Any help would be great and sorry if I didnt explain it very good.

Check ALL the fuses on that circuit and ALL the bulbs manually.
Then do as Iowan suggested, tracing the wires.
