1977&1978 D/W turn signal colors

It looks like all the literature has the turn signals as clear but I'm seeing a ton of amber housings too. Does anyone know when and what was used for these 2 years?

My 77s were clear but I'm not sure at what point they went amber but they did.

1977 was Clear
1978 was Amber

That's what I thought but if you look at most all of the 1978 literature dodge put out they are still clear... Just the way it was... I had a 1989 colt wagon that needed a 1990 alternator or it wouldn't have enough power and just drained the Battery. We still talk about how it left my wife stranded lol!
