66 to 67 front end
I have a 67 coronet 440. when i got it it had a 66 front bumper and complete 66 grille. i am trying to change it back to a 67. i have the front bumper, grille, both surrounds, and the headlight covers(not sure of the name). when i place the grille into place it will not sit properly due to the hood release arm, also the 66 headlights and buckets do not line up with the covers. the headlight buckets appear to be spot welded onto the structure that goes from fender to fender and surrounds the radiator. i was thinking i could drill out the spot welds and manually locate the buckets. any suggestions?
i have a couple questions:
1: does anyone know where i can find an illustrated drawing of the 67 front end so i can try to acquire all the parts i need to complete the installation? i have a CD i bought but for some reason it does not show these parts.
2: will i need to replace the stiffener that holds the hood latch mechanism?
3: does anyone have these parts for sale?
Thanks,
John

66 & 67 front ends are different. That is your problem !!! I would bet it was wrecked at some time during it's life and the 66 front end was available. YOU need the 67 fenders.
Make sure it is a 67 ? what is the build date
