69 Chrger Grille Repair
Hey how's it going guys? me and my dad just picked up our second project, a 1969 charger R/T and the front grille is almost perfect except for a slight area where 2 of the plastic pillars have broken off. ill post a picture as soon as I get the chance but I was wondering, how do you repair this type of damage? I was fortunate enough to have a perfect grille on my roadrunner so I did not have to perform this type of repair. any info will be helpful guys! Thanks!!

Where does one pick up a 69 Charger these days?
I hope I don't violate some protocol by saying this. but on For B Bodies Only, about a year ago, I downloaded a copy of an entire post on how to fix that grille. Great pictures too. I have a 68 Charger but some of the methods and instructions are the same. I don't know if I saved it as a file or not. Let me look over the weekend.

Alright so I found this article on mopar muscle that basically covers every type of damage your grille can have. It's pretty descriptive and I'm going to use these methods to repair my grille. What do you guys think?

i think it looks like a great way to do it. Im new here, but im a prop/costume part maker on the side for a large charity based StarWars costuming group, the 501st Legion (501st.com) and i make molds and cast parts in resin, fiberglass etc, and this is similar to one of the ways i fabricate parts i may need.
If this method doesnt work for you i can suggest making a mold of a section of the grill and casting it with fiberglass and using that to trim and fit into place. Being new here not 100% sure how well it would work durability/long term wise, but im pretty confident it will work well.
