Question GTX Interior door panels

I thought all the GTX's came with the wood trim door panels. Fender tag calls for the wood grain console. But the door panels are all black with silver accents. Could these be some kind of special order interior combination? The car has been repainted/freshened up once before (obviously years ago) so I'm wondering if these panels were something threw in it over the years? Any comments or insight is appreciated.

That's a 1970 pattern. The wood trim on the 70 models was in a cast pot metal plate above the vinyl door panel, mounted on the metal part of the door.

Question

That answers that since mine is a 69. Thanks for the awesome info, but the question I still have did the 69 GTX all have wood grain panels? Or let me rephrase; would this GTX most likely have the wood grain panels?

Yes, GTX and Sport Satellite would or should both have the wood grain panels, as well as plastic wood grain trim on the dash. Both cars share the same door panels, in case you're looking for a set. Here's an example of 69 door panels:

Thanks

Those are the panels I'm looking to purchase. Guess you just made a sale. I happen to have a sport sat. panel. It has an emblem attached in the upper section.

Would the GTX have this also? I've looked at online photo's and have seen them both ways? Need some one with hands, eyes on knowledge.

After many searches all original GTX's also have this emblem. No more need for this thread to continue. Wanted one interior red white and blue emblem.

I too have a 68 GTX but with different door panels. When I bought the car I was told it had the correct door panels. Then I saw in a parts book, the door panels I have were from a 1969 GTX. Yesterday, I saw on eBay, there is another 68 GTX with the same door panels as I have. Most of the top half is woodgrain and the bottom is black. Did Plymouth build a 68 1/2 GTX? I find it ironic that there are two 68 GTX's with 69 door panels. Tomorrow I'll call Galen Govier to see what he says. Does anyone have some thoughts on this?
