The Drivers side remote mirror for my 72 Charger is OK but I would like to replace it. The budget is getting tight so $450+ for NOS or $300+ for a correct repo is out of the question. I have found a NOS mirror resonably priced from a later model. The heads look the same, but the base is different. Can I swap my base to the other mirror? I have also found several Right side mirrors, Can I swap my left side base to a right side mirror?

 

Why not get it re-chromed?

 

That thought did cross my mind. I need to find a reliable shop in my area.

Ship it to Superior Chrome in Houston Texas...everyone else does. They did my bumpers on my Aspen.
