Had a problem happen about a year ago, and I guess I really ought to try and fix this... needing a set of gears for a 9 1/4" Mopar rear end... Was out of my '77 Newport. The pinion yoke lost its nut running down the hyway... talk about an eye opening experience... I had another car for a temp fix but would like to rebuild the big rear and put it in the 72 I am going to try and revive...

What gear ratio are you looking for ? I have a set of gears only 3.21/3.23 I think that I was going to use in a 91 Van that had a 9 1/4

@ this point the ratio doesnt really matter as long as its not drag racing gears...lol Think it was originally 2.91's maybe the 2.7x's... cant remember as both cars were geared alike.. The 72 has a 400/727 combo, and had the 8 1/4, which is now under the totaled '77.. I could remove it before the end result of the 77 comes but figured it would be easier to just fix the one setting out and shove it in.... ( i think..lol ) What would you have to have for em? shippin might be a little pricey tho... But guess can figure that if i can afford the gear set...lol
