Ball and Trunnion U-Joint aka Detroit U-joint
This is more for my personal reference. My 63 Polara 500 has a ball and trunnion style "Detroit" u-joint (example in pic below) and I was wanting to know if anyone knew where I could find a replacement without modifying the driveshaft and converting to a different style u-joint.
I do not want to get into a bind where I need to replace it but cannot find the part.

I have talked with the few that actually advertise that they do it in my area, and the only one that even knew what I was wanting said that he hasn't seen one for almost 15 years. My dad has a 64 Dodge sportsman that had the same joint, it went out in 1996 and he couldn't find a replacement. So he had a new driveshaft built with a double cardan setup for it.
Since I am staying factory with the Polara, I do not want to have aftermarket fabrication done. Thus, I am trying to find someone who actually has these and/or the rebuild kits laying around.
