1966 Chrysler Newport COnvertible

SOLD

I am the second owner of this beautiful 1966 Chrysler Newport convertible. I bought the car at the beginning of the ‘pandemic’ to take our moms on drives. It is my daily driver for most of the year, except winter. I have lots of trophies from car shows. It's a rarely seen car and draws LOTS of attention. RUNS GREAT! I am including some parts.

$23,000

Chrome bumpers

Power steering

383ci

Power brakes

TorqueFlite Auto Transmission

Factory radio

Black vinyl interior

I have an appraisal that put the value at $31,000 in 2021.

Work done in 2022:

Installed Pitman arms

Strut rod bushings

Bump stops

Front end alignment

Here is what I've done to her over the last 12 months (2024-2025):

1. Engine rebuild (correct color, hoses, and wires)

2. Electronic ignition

3. New coil

4. New alternator

5. New voltage regulator

6. All hoses and belts replaced at engine rebuild

7. New engine mounts

8. New transmission mount

9. New oil pump

10. New distributor gear

11. Re-cored radiator

12. New water pump

13. New brake booster

14. New battery

15. Carburetor rebuilt

16. Transmission filter and flush

17. New torque converter

18. New tires

19. New U joints

20. Replaced right rear window regulator

21. New oil pressure transmitter

22. Installed mech gages (water, volts, oil pressure)

23. New coil-over shocks (rear)

24. New style power steering bracket

25. New power steering pressure hose

26. New speedometer cable

27. New weatherstripping (windows and top)

28. Front wheel cylinders

29. Rear wheel cylinders

30. New brake shoes

31. New rear axle bearings

32. New front wheel bearings

33. New fuel tank

34. New fuel sending unit

35. Flush and refill the rear axle fluid

36. I had her ceramic coated 3 years ago with the 9-year package.

What it could use, if you're inclined:

1. There is a short somewhere, but I haven't identified it, and it does not affect the vehicle's functionality. I have a kill switch installed.
