OK here we go,i have a 23 spline a833 4spd tranny that i want to swap in place of the 3spd,am changing eng from /6 to SB.i am curious as to whether the bell hsng _flywheel set up out of a 76 P/u will fit firewall hump?i have a 4spd int. floor hump but i was told that truck flywheeland clutch/bell housing is 11"and i need to have an alum b hsng with 10.5 clutch set up???? seems like A bodies bfore`67 are their own beings????any advise apprciated
The first thing is, Dart GT's are very collectable, and depending on the options it came with, your car could be potentially worth some coin.
In other words, consider carefully whether you really want to chop it up or not
Next, none of the 'truck' bells will fit, possibly with the exception of 3 speed bells or possibly the ones used on the ill-fated "overdriven 4 speed."
Any of the truck bells that used a truck type transmission won't fit. The bolt pattern on the transmission mount furthermore is different
Last, I believe the 6 K member is different

Is it he rear cross mem that diff?? as i understand it the diff in the 4spds used i `65 were the same xcept for the "bolt on rear flange" as for eng mounts Shumaker will be used and as far as my car being "collectable" i have fac steering colum AND fac 4 spd humpwith fac cutout in tact so to the naked eye car shoul look stock even have fac.4spd shifter(plaque)And Stainless crpet kicker(goes into carpet where foot could rub next to throttl pedal.i will keep recearching for date correct prts(as many as possible but still can use input from others... thanx
