727 Tranny Prob's

I have a 727 that barely goes into reverse. All the other gears work just fine. Which band adjustment screw is for the reverse? And when I get to that does the screw need to come in or out? Any other suggestions welcome. And the tranny only has about 5,000 miles on it.

Can you pull-the-pan and test-drive it now?

No. The tranny is not in the vehicle just yet.

First .... what if anything - other than the ATF ... is in the bottom of the pan ?

The only thing in the pan, Clean ATF and a Clean Filter. Nothing seems to be missing or loose.
Any other Ideas would be great

can you be more specific? are you talking about the linkage, lever on the transmission case or that when it was in a vehicle, the transmission slipped?

Do you see that lever with the nut in the rear of the trans ... from how it rests ... lift up on it .. how far is that?
