73 dart custom 4 dr

i just bought a 1973 dodge dart custom 4 dr and i was trying to find out what size motor is in it. i know it is a 6 cyl but not sure if is the 225 or not... any help would be great

If there are six plug wires and the engine looks like it is falling over, the only engine it can be its a 225.

If the fifth letter in the VIN is a "C" it's a 225. I don't think the 198 was still available in '73.

I thought that the 170 and 198 were also slanted and just the bore and stroke changed.

You are correct there, I don't think they were still available in '73 . I think the 225 was the only /6 option by then.

I know for a fact that from 1970 to 1973 the motor sizes were 225-340 and from late 1973 to 1976 it was 225-360
