Air filter looks like an oil filter

I went to check the air filter the other day on my 72' demon and to my surprise it was covered in oil... Any idea's as to why it would be like this

does your valve covers have a baffle? bad pcv valve, or tired engine

ya its your valve cover pcv valve/baffle need a new gromet or rubber
