Question 225 Auto to Manual Trans Swap

Im want to change my Auto 3 speed to a 3 or 4 speed manual in my 225 72 duster. Im can do the job my self but I know nothing about transmissions mopar used. I need some advise on what trans would work the best for my car. And where to even look for one. I've had the car for 12 years and parts are getting harder to locate. Any help would be great.

i did the swap 10 years ago. if you piece it together, the bellhousing and trans tunnel hump is the most important and hardest parts to find. i found an uber rare feather duster parts car and got everything from the flywheel back and all the linkage and pedals. everything is pretty much bolt up except for the ball-stud mount in the inner fender, it needs to have a plate welded to the frame to support it fully.
although big block, here is a good info page on the swap

Look for Aspens and Volare's those were popular with six's and manual trans. You may get lucky and score an overdive trans. If you do get an overdrive you'll be able to go to a deeper rear and wake up that slant six.
