Question
Hey, I have a couple questions. I am looking at buying a 1970 Dodge Dart with 318 auto and I was wondering what are the common rust spots on the Darts? Also, what other common problems did the Dart have? Thanks

Mostly
rear quarters to rear of wheels,
trunk leaks, trunk lid, rear window, body seams between quarters/ rear window/ upper corner of trunk
windshield seal leaks
cowl leaks --the grill up on cowl leads into a cavity which colllects debri, dams up water, and rusts through the bottom, leaking out through the vent boxes, or just rusting through the bottom of the cowl pan
under the rockers under the doors
trunk pan, floor pan
You really just have to examine EVERYTHING. Get under the car and look up at the floors, if it's been "fixed up" you need a magnet to look for bondo, look inside bottom of rear quarters where they hang down behind the tires and look for repairs, as well as the same area directly above and in the trunk
I'm sure others will think of more spots.
I was lucky. My A is almost completely rust free, stored indoors.
