restoring a 68 dart 270

hello im restoring my 1968 dart and its going to need a new motor which was a 318 originally i was thinking of putting in a manual transmission with a 383 motor but im not sure what type of transmission i need. if some one could help me out that would be great thanks.

You put in a big block 833 four speed tranny or a later model 833 four speed overdrive tranny. The bell housing will have to be a big block model.

It's an expensive proposition Would make a wild ride !
Manual hump for the floor board, A body trans A833? shifter, bell housing, clutch assembly, radiator, shumacker mounts, drive shaft, , rear end. Peddle assembly, headers
