Whats special about the TWISTERS??
Being relatively new to all the Mopar stuff, I had to ask.... Whats so special about the duster TWISTERS? I happened across one yesterday while driving my wife to work, and wondered of there was any reason to check into it? Im not really interested in the mid 70's models, but if its worth getting for some reason ide look into buying it. So..... let me know folks.

The Twister was just a trim level option for Dusters, You got the 340 "shark tooth" grille, twin hoodscoops, side stripe, rallye wheels, rear spoiler, & I think dual outside racing mirrors too. Basically a 340 duster without the 340 engine. They came with the 318 or slant six.

When I drove by the car, I didnt notice ANYTHING special about it.... no spoiler, scoops, sharktooth... etc. but it definetly said TWISTER on a decal at the end of the side stripe on the rear quarter. Looked to be a mid 70's model ide guess 73 ish...
Like mentioned before, it was an appearance package. With rising insurance rates, dealers wanted a way for them to sell cars. This was a way to make the Duster seem sporty, without having to sell the motor. I had a 71 Twister. It didn't have the shark tooth grill either, but it was fun, and got me my Duster 340 car
If you find that Twister is a 71, I'm interested if it is a 318 car.
