1968 LA904A Tranny for sale

1968 LA904A Tranny for sale...Torque convertor also...
This is my stout LA904a Tranny that used to be behind my 340 roller motor..it has less than 200 miles on it since it was overhauled...it has Blue Plate special clutches...Kevlar bands and a riveted roller sprag...I spent lots of money or this tranny to let it set...it has set for over a year since I put the 440 in my Dart...it comes with no neutral safety switch...no speedo adaptor nor a kickdown or shift levers...it will come with a 2200-2400 stall torque convertor...this was the factory one that was cut opened and worked on...I have no idea what shipping would cost or intail...$500.00 bucks to the first person...I suggest disassembling and cleaning up prior to use..It has been sitting in storage...

It's Christmas time. It may take a while for people to spend a sizable sum on themselves. If you weren't so far away ( and I had the ) I'd ****** that up for my Demon

Good luck with the sale.

Yep, but shipping isn't an issue other than more money..Fed Ex freight would do it for about 125 bucks if it were strapped to a pallet and picked up from and going to a business...Eric

If you still have the tranny in late April, early May, I'll might take you up on it. That is when I will have my biannual car allowance I am in need of a tranny for my Demon and was looking to fork out at least $450 on just a stock rebuild, or over a grand for a Turbo Action tranny. Was your 340 a cast crank motor by chance? Mine is. What would I need to do to put that behind my 340?

Nope mine was a forged crank with 540 lift roller cam...roller lifters and roller rockers...400 hp...this is a solid tranny....they make all kinds of billet parts for them because they weigh about 25 pounds less than a 727...when you race 25 pounds is a big difference
