no such thing as a short block you may want to edit your post.

I have no idea what you mean by X heads either.

FYI a short block is a engine block, crankshaft, rods and pistons, cam , lifters and oil pan timing Chan and cover. Also X is the letter casted into the cylinder heads. These happen to be the best factory heads for a small block. So before you hijack someone's thread maybe you should send a pm next time if you have a question.

You need to help someone else because you don't know what you are talking about. Go look up "short block" in any performance catalog. Is there any moderators out there how can delete this person's posts from my thread. This is freaking ridiculous.

I don't know if you are trying to be funny, or just don't know

"Short block" is a term that I've heard all my life, and I'm 64. This is a COMMON term when talking about rebuilt engines, commonly referred to as "short block" (no heads or valve gear) and "long block" meaning complete with heads, generally without tinware and intake.

A seriously short amount of time on Google:

"X" and "J" small block Mopar heads are common heads because...........well..........they actually had a great big J or X cast into the exterior of the head

An "X" head

A "J" head

Pro-tech thanks for support. I almost questioned myself for a second and then realized this person has no idea what she is talking about. These are terms commonly used everyday. And to not know what "X" heads ate is a sin all by itself.

Had a set of pro ported "J" heads OS 2.02 valves- on a 360. They work quite well were done by Bishop & Buel about 15-20 years ago.. They did a lot of work for the Mopar Mags before the mags move their offices to New York ????
