318 heads on a 360, Please help!
I'm rebuilding a 1982 dodge 318 and the block of the 318 was cracked. So i went to a junk yard and told them to pull another 318 to replace the bad block, when i got it to my shop i realized it was definitely a older model, then i looked at the casting number and it said it was a 1977 dodge 360, I totally rebuilt my 318 heads already and was wondering if i put them on the 360 would they make it go down in performance? the 318 heads part number is 4071051a. Someone please help me out because i don't want to go on hunt for 360 heads!

Good question and Welcome.
Just looked them up and they are shown as '81 - '83 318 HP 66 - 72.5cc's
or '80 - '85 360 same combustion chamber volume.
It doesn't say what valve sizes they have. And I can't remember right now.
I'd say go, no problem for a stocker, but check your valve size so you know.

Those fit 1971 to 1989 360's Motors.....
You can use the heads on your 360 with no problems....
But like Lynn said.... You will need all the short block 360 Stuff and also your going to need a Weighted converter....
Use the Mopar Bible to determine what dampener and weight combo is the correct one for the application... Case crank or steel crank will be the difference......

Alright sweet! Thanks for the help everyone, was really stumped all day with this, I measured the intake valves and they read 1.88" and I was told that if they read that measurement, they should be able to work just fine without any loss of power
