Pilot bushing problems

I have a 360 engine crankshaft that I can not get a new pilot bushing in. The inside dia. of the new bushing fits the trans. shaft perfectly but the outside dia, of the bushing is to large to go into the crankshaft. The machine shop that polished the crank took the old bushing out which was cracked and chipped. All help is appreciated.

There used to be a special bushing for cranks not fully drilled for a manual trans I would check Year One or the Dorman catalogue
OR maybe this

70 dart. Had the same problem already back then in my day they only made one size bushing take and put on something round on the inside of it ratchet extension or something like it use a belt sander hold it to the sander and let the bushing spin on it and it will sand the outside of it down until it just fits tap it in with a hammer
