Newbie needing help with first resto, PLEASE!!!

This is my first "build" and I'm getting agitated with how difficult this has been. I know that is the last thing I want when doing this kind of thing, I just don't want to get too discouraged and quit because I love older cars and would love to get into this kind of thing seriously.
I figured I would start with something cheap and reliable once I was done, so I bought a little 1975 Dart 4 door with a 318 and a Torqueflite tranny. The car has 43,000 original miles on it and has had a pretty easy life being owned by the same couple since new and only being driven locally. Here is my question- I want to swap out the 2 barrel carb and intake for a 4barrel. I've purchased a Weiand Action Plus 8007 intake manifold and a little 1850S 600cfm Holley carb and am having trouble with the intake gaskets supplied fitting. Could some one out there tell me what brand and part number, if possible would be correct for this intake. Many thanks in advance and all help is appreciated.

Fel-Pro P/N 1243 or 1213 are supposed to be the right intake gaskets. You'll have to take the manifold with you to determine which set. I trust you have a late style 318 because that's what your intake manifold is meant for. If you have the early style engine you may get into a return. Call Holley and speak with a technician. I also notice that the carb you bought is for Ford style tranny kick down. A few mods may be in order to the linkage to get it to work with your tranny. The two numbers for the gaskets are confirmed numbers, I just don't know which 318 you have. A serial number is required for positive identification because some one may have swapped engines prior to you purchasing the car.
