1984 dodge d150
Howdy y'all, I was given a 1984 d150 with the slant six 225 for my first vehicle from my grandfather, I was curious as to what I would need to do a lean burn delete? Carb was being a pain, ended up replacing it with one without an 02 sensor and at this point I'm tempted to just delete the lean burn, but I don't know what would be needed, any help would be great!

I deleted all of it on my '87 with a 318 and it runs MUCH better. And it's easier to work on and trouble shoot.
1) purchase an aftermarket electronic distributor. I went the route of an HEI style distributor for Chrysler engines. There are many other good solutions for the slant 6. They are readily available on the web.
2) I installed a Holley carburetor. I chose Holley because I'm very familiar with them. There are many other good brands too.
3) I removed all of the air injection smog pump stuff. This is optional of course, it cleans up and simplifies the engine bay.
Above assumes you don't have to pass smog. Good luck!
