1990 dodge D150

Hey guys! I just inherited my grandpas 1990 dodge d150 4 speed automatic 318. I am wanting to get some power out of this mean machine! What are some suggestions that you guys have that I could do. I’m really not to worried about looks I kinda want it to be a sleeper! Any advice would be great!
So far I’ve deleted emissions stuff as well as got rid of the a/c.

If that's not in your budget a stroker kit for your 318 would get you off to a good start.

Probably the best way to pick up some performance is to find out what gears you have in the rear axle. There should be a build decal under the bottom side of the hood that tells you axle gear ratio. There should be a tag on the diff cover also, let us know what you have.

Just looking at the photos, that is not a bad looking truck for its age. I would save up and big block it or find a wrecked pick-up with a hemi and swap the whole powertrain. You really didn't gain much deleting the A/C.

yeah, i just deleted the ac becuase it didn't work anyway. From what i read you don't really want to sleep on the 318 even though its a small block. A hemi swap would be awesome though!

The 318 is a stout and very underestimated little engine. That being said, if you can stroke yours or do a big block swap, go for it! Still, if the thing runs well now, a little thumper cam and headers might just wake that sumgun up! (if it were me, I’d go with the type that allowed for an o2 sensor so everything stays happy).
