New to the forum. I just picked up a 1978 adventurer 200 club cab long bed and was actually looking to get some stuff to spruce up the interior. I was specifically looking at some dash covers. It has one crack now but tryna prevent more and keep it protected from the sun. One company in particular that I want to buy from has mats for a 78 ramcharger but that’s it. Are the interiors for these two the same and have interchangeable parts? Or are they not compatible. From pictures I’ve seen of 78 ramcharger interiors, they look the same at first glance.

Yes, dash should be near identical.

 

Door trim and pads should go from one to the other. There might be cosmetic differences but should work from one to the other.

 

What about the dash though, from your experience. Also, I started the thread because the manufacturer said they wouldn’t fit my truck but I feel like they just don’t want to have to check or just don’t know lol.

 

The dash was already said to work so I didn't, but it will.

 

The complete dash/dash pad is identical to both trucks. Only difference will be wiring and options as in tachometer, volt/vacuum gauges.

Yes the dash will work you will have to just compare the wiring diagrams for both years and match up the various circuits since some of the color codes will be different. If the 78 truck has tilt steering the 76 dash won't have the wiring for that because it was not available in 76.
