Hey guys, I've got a 78 PowerWagon 318 4 wheel drive that's got a crack on the top of the gas tank, tried to have shop obtain correct plastic welding rod, after a year I brought it back home,
I've got the gas tank off from the shop and straps and skip plate it looks like however the shop broke one of the straps that holds the gas tank in place, I was told the 4X4 has a different gas
tank than the 2 wheel drive. Does anyone know who would have a gas tank or replacement strap for this Dodge. The crack is 10 inches long and at the widest is 3/16 of inch, also not sure
of the tank strap to find, any diagrams for the tank and hardware that you know of would be great, thanks for your help!

 

i wonder if you could use JB plastiweld stuff?

 

I wondered about that, thought of hot soldering iron to melt the plastic. Thanks for reply

 

i have done that, as well! i cut up a spray paint can lid and used a soldering iron to "weld" two plastics together. it worked well!

 

HAVE TANK OUT OF A 76 4X4 AND STRAPS. DONT KNOW IF THE SAME.
