ok so i have a 91 ramcharger with a 318, and i am having trouble rebuilding the motor, i have a roller cam and i bought a brand new one, but when i put it in, the cam is able to move back an extra half inch or so. that's with, the cam, thrust plate, chain splash guard thing, and the gear, is there a piece I'm missing? I have an extra freeze plug thing that looks like a 1 5/8in contact lense. can anyone show me the order of rebuild with diagrams. i bought a chilton manual. but its too general it covers 10 years of dodge fullsize trucks(ram, ramcharger, Dakota) and all the different motors 2.5L to 8.0L. so its hard to find anything on my specific motor.
