Removing steering wheel: 1976 D100

Hi, new guy, first post.

I just bought a 1976 D100 long bed (Slant 6/column 3 speed). This is a project that needs a ton of work. One of the items I would like to start with is getting the steering column opened up to replace the turn signal cancelling cam (the signals appear to work, just have to be held in place manually).

My horn center has a lot cracks and I don't want to destroy it! How does it come off? Is there a plastic tab to press on one side? Is it a push-in-and-move-sideways type?

THANKS!
