Transmission leak from bellhousing

Hey all I'm looking for creative solutions.

I spent about a year fixing up my w150. 360 paired with a 727. Got it running well this week! Now though, the transmission that the PO claimed had been rebuilt is spitting ATF out of the bellhousing onto the exhaust. I need the truck running so I'm just going to take it to a transmission shop and bite the bullet. Trying to come up with some way to keep it from bursting into flames on the 10 mile drive. There is not a dust cover on the bellhousing, do those seal well enough to keep the fluid mostly from pouring out? Any other ideas?

Have it towed....
You will run it low on fluid and burn it up.....
