I got my hands on a used steel crank on the weekend. I'm probably going to do a build with my 452 heads with some porting, with the option to upgrade to some Alum later giving me a higher compression and closer to 450 hp mark. I found an A body to put it in, 74' Scamp . I'm trying to keep my options open for future upgrades or incase I get the urge to run Nos. I think my cast would have probably done fine but I got the forged for $200 and it may only need a polish. Any developments on your end?

I am using the Block, cast crank, and rods. I want a good mid level street performance engine. I'll probably end up around the 400hp mark. Not too crazy. I won't run boost. I heard that the cast cranks are good for up to 500hp and I think anywhere near that or above is not going to sound or run like a daily driver. What about your 400?
