There should be a couple of numbers on the passenger side of the block. In one of those, it will have the size. If you can get those, we can tell you more about it.

I cant see any numbers on the passenger side, I might need to wait until I get the engine pulled in a few weeks.

With the suspension, crossmember and exhaust manifolds in the way, it can be hard to see sometimes.

Now Im not entirely sure if its an "I" at the end or a one.
What can you tell me?
It's a 360 LA block that was produced between 75 & 93.

Dodge engine serial number

Good morning folks. New to the forum here. I just purchased a dodge engine flathead 6 230. The number is L230 *150355* Each asterick is actually a 5 point star. According to research this is supposed to be a 1958 Dodge engine. If so, how much difference is it between this model and the 1942-1945 WW 2 T214 230s? Thanks in advance.

A 360-1 is first mold poring should be a strong block..
A 440-9 9 parts of the mold have been replaced..
I would sonic check before doing any serious HP

ET = 1975
44 = 440 YOU JUST MISSED THE 0
E = CASK CRANK
HP = High Performance

Nice block other than the cask crank which is not desirable but ok to use in a stock configuration.

I am rebuilding my MOTORHOME and would like more information on CAM (specifications), CYLINDER HEAD CC, INTAKE & EXHAUST VALVE SIZES for the "360-1"
I pulled out my 360 Dodge engine ( Engine code from underneath hood of motorhome - OV9783 360-1 4039783 shown in picture).

Shows the code number for the build, Engine Code, then the casting number of the original motor.
